In a celebration of vision, dedication, and transformative leadership, four outstanding school district administrators at Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools have been recognized as Administrators of the Month.
Director of Operations Doug Clements, Welborn Elementary School Principal Collette Chaney, Gloria Willis Middle School Principal Dr. Samia Guess, and J.C. Harmon High School Principal Dr. Edward Franco were honored for their outstanding leadership during the October 14 KCKPS Board of Education meeting.
These exceptional leaders, who each represent a unique part of the district, have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to student success, staff support, and community engagement.
Clements was noted for always being available and quick to respond in any situation. Principals know they can count on him for quick solutions.
Principal Chaney was lauded for being a true leader and an advocate for all of her students and families, and for her attention to detail that helps ensure that every initiative, from instruction to culture-building at Welborn, is achieved.
Dr. Samia Guess was praised for her unwavering faith, expertise, and commitment to excellence.
She leads with humility, grace, and determination, consistently modeling what it means to serve with integrity and purpose.
Dr. Franco was hailed for his exceptional leadership, commitment, and vision. He has helped make J.C. Harmon a place of belonging, academic excellence, and high expectations for all students.
He has fostered a welcoming and inclusive environment that values collaboration among students, staff, and families.
